The ad started airing in Arizona on October 1 on cable, broadcast, and digital media, as part of a 7-figure joint ad buy with the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).

• Ruben Gallego was criticized for having “remained silent” about Congressional  testimony from Harvard “that was roundly criticized as failing to condemn  antisemitism amid Israel’s war with Hamas.”

– Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake announced that her Democrat opponent, Ruben Gallego, is backing out of their first debate, initially scheduled for October 3, 2024.

 

– Lake stated, “Ruben Gallego’s ducking the first debate is just another move from a politician too scared to defend his disastrous record. Arizonans deserve transparency, not excuses, and if he can’t face the voters now, how can they trust him to fight for them in Washington? 2. 2020: Mark Kelly (D) defeated Martha McSally (R) by 2%

3. 2018: Kyrsten Sinema (D) defeated Martha McSally (R) by 2%

4. 2016: John McCain* (R) defeated Ann Kirkpatrick (D) by 13%

5. 2012: Jeff Flake (R) defeated Richard Carmona (D) by 3%

The competitive nature of these races underscores the inaccuracy of any poll showing a double-digit lead for either candidate in the current race.

 

PRESIDENTIAL IMPACT:

• HISTORICAL IMPACT: In 2016 and 2020 there were 69 Senate races. In 68 out of 69 races, the result of the Senate race mirrored that of the presidential. The lone exception was Sen. Susan Collins, who had a 30-year track record of being the most bipartisan member of the Senate. Ruben Gallego is no Susan Collins. In fact, Gallego’s record is quite the opposite, voting with Biden & Harris 100% of the time.

• Gallego’s aforementioned strong support for the Biden-Harris agenda and President Trump’s consistently strong lead in Arizona is a good sign for Lake, a Trump ally, and other down-ballot Republicans in Arizona.

Phoenix, AZ – Radical Ruben Gallego has a long and sordid history of ripping off seniors. 

From 2010 to 2012, Gallego was the Director of Public Affairs for Southwest Ambulance, a company that faced a federal investigation for committing medicare fraud in Arizona during and shortly after the time that Gallego worked for the company. Notably, Southwest Ambulance funneled hundreds-of-thousands of dollars into local elections to win contract extensions, and was forced to settle the medicare fraud investigation for $2.8 million. In 2022, Gallego voted for the Inflation “Reduction” Act which has “reduced the number of Medicare drug plans from which seniors can choose and increased the average premiums they pay.” Notably, “premiums for Part D plans are up 21%—and 5 million beneficiaries are enrolled in plans that raised their premiums by 50% or more this year.” (READ MORE: HERE)
