Phoenix, AZ – Just one day after Ruben Gallego voted to allow illegal immigrants to vote in U.S. elections, the Washington Examiner and Washington Free Beacon report that earlier this week Ruben Gallego REFUSED to directly answer questions from his own donors about how to deal with the border crisis. Gallego claimed he only deals with immigration “once in a while” (when he does, he votes for open-borders: SEE HERE) and that it’s “not [his] expertise.” Furthermore, Gallego expressed discontent with the idea of being placed on a committee with jurisdiction over the crisis. 

In stark contrast, Kari Lake recognizes that Arizona is a border state facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis and knows that the #1 issue for Arizona voters is the border. Phoenix, AZ – On Wednesday, Ruben Gallego voted AGAINST the SAVE Act, which would prevent illegal immigrants and non-U.S. citizens from voting in our elections and establish penalties for intentionally registering non-citizens to vote. 

Notably, Arizona currently tells voters that if their citizenship cannot be confirmed, they will receive a federal-only ballot, allowing them to vote in Presidential, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House Elections.

Kari Lake Released the Following Statement:

“Ruben Gallego helped Joe Biden open our border and allowed millions of illegal aliens into America. Then today, to add insult to injury, Ruben spat in the face of every law-abiding American when he voted to allow illegal immigrants to vote in our elections. 

Our elections are sacred. We will NOT allow Biden and Gallego to water down our vote and disenfranchise American citizens.  Ruben Gallego is the most radical member of Congress, and this November, Arizona will reject him and his owner, Joe Biden.”

THE VOTE IS IN ADDITION TO GALLEGO’S RADICAL OPEN-BORDERS RECORD:
– Gallego said: “There is no “national emergency” coming from the border.”

 

– In 2019, Gallego voted to block President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency at the border

 

– Gallego called the border wall “stupid” and “useless”

 

– Gallego published an op-ed titled “we should not build the border wall(ever)”

 

– Gallego co-sponsored H.R. 748, the Safeguarding Sanctuary Cities Act of 2017

 

– Gallego voted for the Build Back Better Act. If signed into law, it would have granted amnesty to an estimated 6.5 million illegal immigrants, even being called the “largest mass-legalization program for undocumented immigrants in history”

 

– In February 2023, Gallego called Title 42 ineffective on a virtual town hall with Indivisible. Furthermore, in a 2021 letter signed by Gallego, members of Congress urged the Biden Administration to end Title 42 

 

– Gallego said securing our border is a “misguided scheme”

 

– Gallego said sending more troops to the border was a “misuse of funds and manpower”

 

– In 2020, Gallego voted for the HEROES Act, which would have given $1,200 to illegal immigrants

 

– In 2017, Gallego voted against imposing tougher sentences on criminals who entered the U.S. illegally multiple times

 

– In 2021, Gallego voted for HR 1333, a bill meant to restrict the President’s ability to enforce immigration laws and secure our border

 

– In 2023, Gallego voted against the Secure the Border Act, which would restart construction of the border wall, increase the number of border patrol agents, and crack down on employment of illegal immigrants holding American jobs.

 

– In January 2024, Gallego voted against a resolution denouncing Biden’s open border

 

– Gallego voted against notifying ICE when an illegal immigrant attempts to buy a firearm

 

– Gallego voted against a motion that would prevent illegal immigrants who have a violent record or pose a criminal, public safety, or national security risk to remain in the United States

Phoenix, AZ – On Tuesday, the Lake Campaign released two new TV ads that draw a clear contrast between the America First policies of Trump & Lake that provided Americans with historic peace and prosperity, and the dead-end policies of Biden & Gallego that are hurting so many hard-working Americans.

The ads are the third phase of a joint $10 million ad buy with the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) and will begin to air in Arizona July 9th on cable, broadcast, and digital media. To date, Lake has been endorsed by President Trump and 23 sitting Republican U.S. Senators.

On Thursday, the Lake Campaign’s Make Arizona Grand Again Bus  made its first appearances with Lake in Coconino County for the Fourth of July parades in Flagstaff, AZ and Williams, AZ. On Friday, Kari Lake officially launched the Make Arizona Grand Again Bus Tour with a rally at Colt BBQ (WATCH: HERE) and retail stops at local businesses in Prescott, Arizona. 

On Saturday, Lake participated in the Prescott Frontier Days Parade before heading to the Prescott Rodeo. On Saturday evening, Lake held a meet-and-greet event at Colt BBQ. 

Lake began Sunday with a stop at Thanks A Latte in Camp Verde where she had conversations with customers about the issues most important to them. Lake then made a stop at Hauser & Hauser Farms where she bought produce for dinner, and discussed the hardships facing Arizona’s agricultural community and what she will do in the U.S. Senate to relieve the burdens they are feeling. Lake ended the weekend with a stop at Old County in Pine, AZ for a meet-and-greet

Pima County, AZ – On Wednesday, U.S. Senate Candidate Kari Lake campaigned in Pima County, beginning the day at the Marana Animal Auction in Marana, AZ. At the auction, Lake met with Arizona’s ranchers, and promised to protect Arizona’s cattle industry by getting the federal government out of the way to ensure our farmers & ranchers have access to the water they need.

Later, Lake & Tito Ortiz participated in interviews with KVOA News 4 Tucson and Univision at the campaign’s Tucson Office. Following the interviews, Lake held a meeting with the Southern Arizona Leadership Council (SALC) to discuss foreign policy, military spending, education, reducing the deficit and reducing barriers to infrastructure development. 

On Wednesday evening, Lake was joined by Tito Ortiz for their Fight For Arizona Town Hall in Tucson, AZ. Lake encouraged Democrat & Independent voters to attend, and took their questions on stage at the event. Lake has made it a key point in her campaign to reach independent and democrat voters who disapprove of Gallego’s radical record, especially on the border and the economy.
