Gallego Votes AGAINST Raising Pay & Increasing Benefits for Military Personnel and Families

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 15, 2024

Phoenix, AZ - On Friday, Ruben Gallego voted against the NDAA, which would give a 20% increase in pay for junior enlisted troops. In addition, the NDAA would provide benefits to military families such as new childcare centers and schools for military children, increased pay for childcare providers to ensure military children get quality care, and bonuses & enhanced training for the teachers educating the children of servicemembers.

Congressman Brian Mast (FL-21) Released the Following Statement:

“As a veteran who was wounded in service to our country, I know what it’s like to put my life on the line everyday. It’s a risk that thousands of men and women have made to defend our freedom and they deserve our appreciation for that.

Ruben Gallego’s vote against raising pay and giving additional benefits for our troops and their families is a slap in the face to our military personnel. I endorsed Kari Lake because I know that she will get to the Senate and fight everyday for our troops”

Kari Lake ha hecho público el siguiente comunicado:

“Ruben Gallego’s vote against a 20% pay increase for troops, and against services that would improve quality of life for our military families, is indefensible. As Arizona’s next U.S. Senator, I will never abandon our troops or their families, I will always have their backs like they have ours.”
