Iran’s Favorite Congressman: Ruben Gallego

Phoenix, AZ – On Tuesday, the Iranian regime launched hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israel, targeting innocent civilians. 

Ruben Gallego has worked tirelessly for a decade in Congress to weaken Israel while funding, strengthening and emboldening Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah. 

 

GALLEGO’S RADICAL VOTING RECORD ON ISRAEL:

  • In November 2023, Gallego sided with the majority of House Democrats by voting  against H.R.6126, the Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2024 

  • In 2021, Gallego voted against providing Israel with emergency funding for its Iron  Dome missile defense system as Hamas was targeting Israeli civilians.  

  • In May 2021, Gallego voted against considering sanctions on Hamas as the Iranian backed terrorist group fired thousands of missiles at Israel.  

  • In July 2019, Gallego voted against requiring the participation of certain pension plans  to not engage in Israel boycotts.
     
  • In April 2019, Gallego voted against condemning the Boycott, Divestment, and  Sanctions (BDS) movement targeting Israel.

  • In 2019, Gallego voted to give U.S. aid to the Palestinian Authority, a sponsor of anti-Israel terrorism, that could fund lifetime salaries for Palestinians who carry out terrorist  attacks on Israel.  
  •  
  • In September 2015, Gallego voted to delay the authority of the President to waive,  suspend, or reduce existing sanctions on Iran or on Iranian officials until January 2017.  

  • Ruben Gallego “stayed silent” about Chuck Schumer’s controversial call for new elections in Israel.  

  • Ruben Gallego supported the Iran nuclear deal and voted against expanding and  strengthening existing U.S. sanctions against Iran related to its ballistic-missile program. (NOTE: Iran launched ballistic-missiles at Israel on October 1, 2024)

  • In October 2023, Gallego refused to respond to questions about his votes and public  statements about providing aid to the Hamas terrorist group or denying aid to Israel.  

  • Ruben Gallego was criticized for having “remained silent” about Congressional  testimony from Harvard “that was roundly criticized as failing to condemn  antisemitism amid Israel’s war with Hamas.”
